Say Prayers for My Friend Aztec
My friend Aztec is a foster dog from Tails of the Tundra. He is about 8 months old, and has developed cataracts very quickly and his vision in both eyes is 80 to 90% occluded. He will be having surgery tomorrow to remove the cataracts. There is a very good chance that his vision will be back to normal after the surgery. Keep your fingers crossed and say prayers for him! He's had a tough life so far - he was confiscated from a home in Baltimore, MD by Animal Control because he was living in cruel conditions - he was emaciated when he came into foster care. At the shelter he picked up a severe case of kennel cough that took him a while to get over. Aztec does have a great foster mom who takes excellent care of him, so his chances are very good!

ReplyDeleteOh yeah, Eight Below. The movie has a happy ending for the dogs, the real story did not :(
ReplyDeleteOur Husky rescue is going to call some local theaters to see if we can have a booth and provide some information on the breed. We don't want people to see Huskies in the movie and rush and and get them without knowing anything about the breed.
