A Very Bad Man!

My mom heard about a very bad man. He didn't like his neighbors, so he trapped their cat in his yard and took it to the pound and had it euthanized. He is being charged with "animal mischief" (that is a LOT MORE than MISCHIEF! It's murder!) in Suffolk County, New York.

My mom was so upset about this that she made an online petition. If you read the information on the petition and think that this man should do jail time, please sign the petition. Mom says please feel free to send it to other people who might like to sign it. The more signatures, the better! A week before the bad man's trial, mom will send the results of the petition to the circuit court judge who will be hearing the case.

You can view and sign the petition here. You can also choose to remain anonymous and not have your name publicly displayed if you want.

Mom said she is sick of people who commit acts of cruelty or abuse against animals getting light punishments like fines, probation or community service. We all need to fight for tougher penalties for people who abuse animals!

Mummy has signed that too. She was not sure if a signature outside US would help though. But she got so mad with the story that she signed it anyway.

  4. My mom signed it too Indy. No animal should be treated like that, even those stinky cats.

By the way, I'm in Md too! Mom wants to move south, but I think that means less snow and more laying on the ac vent for me!

  6. Yes, this is certainly a terrible crime. Kudos to your Mom, and remind me never to get on her bad side.

I signed it Indy, and sent it to my friends so they could also. People just don't understand the love and compassion animals have, and that their time is short. I'm glad you have a proactive momma. Love you Indy,

    Caroline
