Missing Husky in Chester County, PA

Sugar was recently adopted to a family in Phoenixville, Chester County, PA by MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue. She is a "special needs" dog as she has an abusive past and is extremely frightened of people. Thursday morning someone went into her fenced backyard and she ran out. The new family is doing everything possible to find her (posters, police and animal shelters/control contacted, UPS, mailmen, neighbors, etc) but she has not been caught yet. She is wearing a navy blue collar with red hearts and she does have an ID tag on with her name (her new name is Shiloh) and the new family's phone number. Please, if anyone hears anything, please contact MaPaw. Please feel free to forward this information to anyone in near the Phoenixville area of PA. She has been spotted, but doesn't come near anyone. We are organizing searches tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday.

Friday Afternoon Update
As of 3:00 pm, Sugar is still missing. She was spotted by a resident at 7:30 a.m at a dog park near her new home, but we have seen no signs of her so far. We have distributed over 100 flyers and there are signs being posted and a newspaper ad placed.
We would like to arrange an organized search for tomorrow,Saturday 12/16. Please let me know if you can be there. Click here for directions to the dog park.
We would like to meet at 8:00 a.m. A few of us are going to quietly arrive at 7:00 since she was spotted at 7:30 this morning just to observe. We can then gather at 8:00 to starta search. Once you go into the dog park go to the very end. There is a covered eating area where we can all meet.
The land is overgrown and wooded in spots, please wear sturdy shoes and bring a spare leash. If you have dogs, please bring the noisy ones that might lure her in. We would like to have enough volunteers to circle the area of the dog park and the cemetary and then walk inward and hopefully flush her out. If you are coming, invite your neighbors and friends! There are a LOT of houses in the immediate area and we need people to take flyers door to door - I am printing out 500 of them.
