Puppies!

Today my mom helped transport 10 Chow mix puppies that were coming from North Carolina and are going to a rescue in Vermont. Apparently in the South, there are many places where people don't spay and neuter their pets, so there are a LOT of unwanted puppies and dogs that don't have places to live. They end up in shelters, and the shelters only have so much room, so...unfortunately millions of dogs and cats are euthanized each year in the United States, simply becuase there are not enough homes for them all.

Here are some pictures from today's travel. Uncle Joey and Mom picked the puppies up in Baltimore, Maryland, and drove them to Penns Grove, New Jersey and handed them off to another volunteer. Tomorrow they will get to their foster home in Vermont. There are already 6 approved adopters waiting for puppies!

  2. What cute puppies! We're so glad your mama helped get them to their homes! That solid black one your Uncle Joey was holding is really adorable! He looks like a Newf puppy almost!

  3. PUPPIES!

Your Mom is so great to help them get home. It is so sad that there are too many puppies and kittens and still people let their animals breed. Thankfully, our mom took care of that!
