The Husky From Texas That Travelled to Tennessee

Click to enlargeStetson the Siberian Husky from Texas escaped from his yard two weeks ago. He was found wandering a busy street in Tullahoma, TN. Animal Control found him and took him to the shelter where he was scanned for a microchip, so the shelter staff contacted his owner. Stetson will be flown home through On The Road Again, a pet recovery and transport group. You can read the story here.

I hope that ALL of my blogging friends are microchipped! I am! My mommy makes sure that the information is correct and that I always have my collar on! Holly, you need to show this story to your human man!

  1. Thanks for sharing Indy! The stupid human man has been advised (ok mom read it to him) of this story!

Stetson is very lucky to have made it that far and not have been hurt or worse, killed! He has lucky angels watching out for him, that's for sure!

  2. Wow, that is amazing. I've never been out of the state of Texas, but I bet Tennessee is really far away. I'm glad he made it back home though. And yep, Kat and I have microchips!

  3. Wow, what a story. The peopole at the shelter seemed surprised that he has lots of character and energy. Apparently they don't have much experience with huskies or they would know that we all have lots of character and even more energy.

The Doofus and I both have microchips in case we ever get lost. We don't want to end up homeless again.

It's so good to see microchips mentioned... the more publicity the better!

In the UK there is getting to be a big problem with dogs [pedigrees] being stolen. Perhaps more microchipping could help stop some of this theft.

Imagine the heartbreak this is causing. Some are being ransomed too.
