22 of Vick's Dogs Going to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah is taking 22 of the dogs rescued from Michael Vick's home in Virginia. Thanks to the volunteers and the donors who made this possible.
Photos of just 2 of the dogs that were seized from Vick's property:
It's a tragedy that the 36 dead dogs that were found on Vick's property could not have this chance, but at least they are free from pain and suffering.
For some reason, I have a hard time believing Vick's letter to the judge who sentenced him, claiming that he is a "shy animal lover. I guess he loves all animals but dogs.
Please consider making a donation to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, donating a vehicle, or shopping through their affiliates to support the wonderful work that they do.

  1. Hi,
Congrats for your blog, very nice!
Why don't you create a pet profile on www.pet-files.com? You can publish photos, videos and a lot of info (my profile: http://www.pet-files.com/marco80/mescal). And you can create a slideshow with your photo that you can easily embed into this blog! Hope you appreciate the idea.

  2. Good group, from what I've heard. The shelter where the Human Assistant volunteers works with them.

He guesses that some of Mr. Vick's dogs will go from Best Friends to other groups that can place them.

    Like after Hurricane Katrina.

  3. Thank you for the kind words about Thrawn, I really appreciate it.

I'm a huge supporter of Best Friends... I was fortunate enough to visit a few years ago and was just amazed at the work they do. I am trying to plan a week to go volunteer, hopefully in 2008.

    Thank you again,
    Maryann

  4. We hope they can learn that it's okay to trust humans. We think about them all the time. God Bless the people that will be working with them.

  5. Thank you for posting this up. We'd never have known otherwise that such a wonderful group existed.

Our hearts goes out to the 22 kids and wish them a happy road ahead.
