Mom was busy at work today, so she didn't have a chance to put up any pictures of me at school. I think that's a lousy excuse!
But tonight we watched our new favorite show, it's called "Escape to Chimp Eden". Mom and dad have seen about 5 episodes now, and the are so impressed with the work that the Jane Goodall Institute's Chimpanzee Eden is doing to help chimps that were kept in poor conditions in captivity. Mom's favorite character is Jao, a 44 year old chimp that lived most of his life in a circus. There are some sad scenes, but mom loves learning about chimp behavior, and seeing the chimps get a new chance at a happy life.
That's khool!
ReplyDeleteMy mom first was touched by Jane Goodall's efforts years and years ago -

Mom watched that show too! It's so sad to see how those poor creatures were treated. I'm so glad they are being rescued. No animal should suffer such fate.

This sounds like a great show. I can't wait to check it out. Poor conditions for ANY animal in captivity really upsets me: I'm glad the show is calling attention to the issue!
