Urgent Young Female Husky at Animal Care & Control in NYC

This is Clementine.

Clementine was found as a stray. She is a red and white female with blue eyes and is estimated to be 8-12 months old. She was running the streets of Manhattan, hit by a car (not hard), picked up by a good samaritan and turned over to Animal Control. She has been examined by the shelter vet and found to have no injuries. She is in heat. Her stray hold is up at 5:30pm on 12/23/05. The rescue coordinator would like to get her out tomorrow. NYC dogs always have less than 2 weeks. Clementine is urgent because she is in heat and the shelter will not keep her or spay her while in heat. This young girl is reported to be very friendly and scared.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Clementine, please contact Animal Care and Control of NYC at (212)788-4000. Adoption hours are daily noon to 7pm.

  1. Hey Indy,

Let's hope that your appeal will give Clementine a Christmas present just like Brody's. A new home. She is sooooo pretty.

I know they mean well, but a so called SHELTER should never give an animal a certain period of time. Maybe they send unadopted animals to other shelters that make sure they are adopted. We can only put our paws together and hope.

    Merry Christmas to all.

    Woof!
