Barney, a 6 year olg guard Doberman Pinscher at Wookey Hole Caves, a teddy bear museum near Wells, England, chewed up hundreds of valuable teddy bears on Tuesday night.

“He just went berserk,” said Daniel Medley, general manager of the museum.

A security guard at the museum, Greg West, said he spent several minutes chasing Barney before wrestling the dog to the ground.

Okay, I have to say - how stupid was it to leave any dog running free with easy access to stuffed animals, and expect him to never touch them????

Have these people ever HAD a dog? Or even met any dogs? Ever?

Dogs chew things. That's what dogs do. We eat, we sleep, we play, we pee, we poop, we sniff stuff and we chew things! That's WHAT DOGS DO!

Besides, if thost stupid bears were so valuable, why weren't they in display cases? I mean, COME ON! The humans who ran this museam do not seem very smart.

After weighing the evidence and watching this video, I declare Barney to be innocent!

  1. That's just clearly silly. That's like expecting a feline not to scratch things in the house when the human pet of the house has no scratching post available. These homo sapiens in the museum need an education!

  3. Talk about some owner who doesn't know pet! Sad that he/she doesn't get blame for being stupid!

  4. The temptation finally got too much for him to resist. They really should have kept those out of reach.

  5. That place was like a doggie paradise! We dogs don't care how much things are worth. All we know is they are fun to chew and slobber all over.
