Domestic Abuse Hurts Pets Too

We all know that the penalties for animal cruelty laws are way too easy on people who break those laws. But now here is yet ANOTHER reason to write your Congress person, Senator, and whoever else you can think of to campaign for tougher punishment and also further evaluation of animal abusers.

Unfortunately, it's fairly common for people who abuse animals to abuse other people too. You can see a video hereabout how this man who was charged with abusing a cat is also suspected of abusing his girlfriend. The shelter worker in the video says that it is very common for people who abuse animals to also abuse other people.
