About six million cats and dogs are euthanized each year - we can't afford NOT to spay and neuter all companion animals! I think all of my blog friends are spayed, but if you aren't, ask your humans why!
There are also many health benefits to spaying and neutering! The benefits of spaying females include:
- Eliminates unwanted heat cycles and the attraction of intact male dogs.
- Greatly reduces the risk of mammary cancer (if done before the first heat cycle).
- Prevents the risk of uterine infections (pyometra).
- Prevents unwanted pregnancies and litters that there just aren't enough homes for.
- Prevents unwanted litters that there just aren't enough homes for.
- Aggression will be reduced and so will the tendency to roam and fight.
- Can reduce the occurance of prostate and testicular cancer.
To spay is the way, and to Neuter is to be cuter!!

Hey hey, sorry long time no post! But I'm glad to say my PC is BIA.
ReplyDeleteSpaying/Neutering sure is the way to go. We hope that those who choose to 'own' a pet does so in a responsible manner throughout the world.
Take care all of you!
My human is all for spaying and neutering. The only reason why I'm not spayed is that I'm showing for my conformation championship. A gift my human plans on giving me after I finish my championship is getting spayed! Not all champions need to have puppies, and I don't feel like I need to have babies. All the other dogs here are spayed/neutered since most were rescued dogs (my owner used to foster Siberians).
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
