Day at the Dog Park!

Today was a GREAT day - mom and dad took me to the dog park at Black Hills Park! Dad took his camera and got some pictures.
I LOVE RUNNING!
Here's my new friend Rocky, a 10 month old Pit, tackling me. He's a good wrestler!
This is my mom's favorite picture - four of us running together!

It was a great day!

Mugsey is Home!!!

Remember my post about Mugsey, the bulldog that had been stolen from his backyard in the Flower Hill area of Gaithersburg? He's home! My mom got an update from Mugsey's mom:
"Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to let everyone know that Mugsey is home!!!!! Yesterday morning a woman in Germantown found Mugsey walking, alone, around a lake in Germantown. He followed her home so she took him inside. She was telling her cousin about him and her cousin told her she had seen a missing dog sign in a Chinese restaurant in Flower Hill (that's the name of the area where we live). We had put missing dog signs in all the restaurants that would let us near our area. Anyway, the lady in Germantown then did a search online for missing bulldogs and found Mugsey's blog site and that is how she found us! She actually tried to call me and I missed the calls...so she somehow found my address and drove to our house and said..."I think we have your dog". Of course Mark and I have heard this over and over so we didn't get our hopes up. She opened her car door and out flew Mugsey!!!
Thank you everyone for your support and keeping an eye out for him. I really think the ad in the Gazette on Wednesday had something to do with his return. I think whoever had him saw it and freaked out and let him go. We are overwhelmed with happiness to have him home. Even Katelynn turned to me last night and said "Mom we are a family again!!". It was so cute."
My mom was so happy to hear this she got tears in her eyes. Thanks to everyone who said prayers for Mugsey, it worked!

Not Good News

Well, some good news, but some not so good news. On Saturday my mom took me to have my teeth cleaned by a lady from Houndstooth Pet Teeth Cleaning. It was okay...this lady tricked me into laying down on my side for tummy rubs, then she held my head and...and...cleaned my teeth!!!. She said my teeth were in pretty good shape, and that mom should start cleaning my teeth twice a week, and I'd never need them cleaned again.
So my mom talked to Meeshka's human woman, and she suggested Petzlife Oral Care Gel, since it's all natural and doesn't contain anything I'm allergic to, or sugar. They also have a salmon flavor, but since I'm allergic to fish, I can't have that one. But NOW...I have an entire dental care SET!!!
I even have a toothbrush that's specially designed to clean the outer and inner sides of my teeth! This is not good...
Update: Mom says I only chewed her fingers a little.

Dolce is All Better!

Some of you may remember when Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue took in a young Siberian Husky/Akita mix named Dolce in August of 2008 who had been hit by a car and had surgery. Dolce's long road to recovery included lots of crate rest and physical therapy, but he is finally finished! As of March 1st, 2009, Dolce is officially recovered and available for adoption! You can see his story below.

We are so happy that things worked out well for Dolce!
